Suggestion #9

The root cause of Bangalore traffic problems is the "disrespect to the fellow citizen". If people have little patients, most of the issues can be solve with out much problem. Bangalore has more educated drivers than any other city in India. But no one bothers about any traffic rules. I don't know how many of them red the rule book at least once.

Even if we have 10-line road we will drive 20 line traffic on that. Driving on right side of the road is not an offence. Overtaking through left side- That's usual stuff. Crossing red signal - It is for others. Driving slow on the right most track in multi line road- If you want you can overtake trough my left side.

I feel police has to impose at least a fine of Rs.1000/- for traffic rule violations. Even if Govt share 50% with the policemen (to avoid any form of corruption), it will generate huge revenue that can be used for road development. Once people get feel about the punishment things will change. Therefore, the only way to solve the traffic problems is to impose huge fine and implementing it.
